Description
This hat from Autograph brand has a statement design; it is classically straight sided with a domed crown, and it bears one large decorative flurry at the front thus enhancing its broad brim.
The brim has a brown underside above which is checked sinamay in honey and brown shades. The brim is edged with a honey coloured contrasting braid. The decoration is also honey coloured, comprising a sinamay flower with quills thrusting out and across. Amongst the sinamay ‘leaves’ one sees fine brown feathers and ‘stamens’ of twisted sinamay.
Much fine detailing has gone into the fashioning of this splendid hat.
The Petersham band inside is clean, make-up free. Overall, it is in very good condition.
