The crown in shallow and domed; it has self-coloured band around its base. It is trimmed with self-coloured petersham around the broad upward lifting brim. The decoration is of sinamay twirls, netting, small feathers and fabric flowers.
The whole hatinator is held firmly in place with a broader ribbon covered headband. The wearer will feel secure in it. Your hair-stylist would be able to cover the band with hair if you wanted it to be obscured.
