What a fun item this is!
Or maybe it is that our model just enjoyed wearing it so much that we think of it as rather jolly!?
It is a black velvet finish felt hat with an almost frivolous feathery decoration to the front.
The hat has a straight sided crown, domed over the top and with a trough. The brim is neat and equal all round. It is incredibly comfortable to wear.
It might be worn as a day hat during cooler months. But equally it would suit a special occasion or even a more solemn event.
