Description
A rather charming Hawkins medium hatinator in turquoise. It has nice features that make it stand out from others of similar size. Hawkins is a reliable, mid-price range item. This particular items is in good clean order and its price reflects the quality.
The brim is symmetric and tips down at its edge which is bound in the same fabric; it also had an intentional ridge midpoint – clearly seen in our photographs. The item, like others of this style, is held securely by a broader headband. This too is clearly seen in the photographs. Be assured that when being worn the fixing point is not noticeable.
The decoration comprises twists and twirls of thinner sinamay and some floaty fine feathers. These attach to a similarly thin band that sits at the base of the item’s shallow domed crown.
